Church-Wide Day of Prayer & Fasting
Once each year, our church family sets aside a full day to seek the Lord through concentrated prayer and fasting. This is a sacred tradition at Diakonia — a day to slow down, quiet our hearts, and listen for God's voice as we intercede for our church, our community, our nation, and the world.
The Prayer Chapel will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with guided prayer stations organized around key themes: adoration and praise, confession and repentance, prayers for the church, prayers for our community, prayers for our nation, and prayers for the nations. Scripture cards, prayer prompts, and soft worship music create an atmosphere conducive to focused intercession.
We invite members to sign up for one-hour prayer shifts to ensure continuous prayer throughout the day. You may also drop in whenever your schedule allows. Fasting is encouraged but not required — if you have health concerns, consider a partial fast or a media fast.
The day concludes with a powerful corporate prayer service at 7:00 PM in the Main Sanctuary, where we come together as one body to lift our voices in unified prayer. This is always a deeply moving and spiritually refreshing time.
