The Fall Festival & Trunk-or-Treat is Diakonia's biggest community outreach event of the fall season. Last year, over 500 guests from the church and surrounding community enjoyed an evening of wholesome family fun, and this year promises to be even bigger and better!
Trunk-or-Treat features over 40 creatively decorated car trunks lining the parking lot, each loaded with candy and treats for costumed children. Our church members go all out with themes, decorations, and fun giveaways. (Want to decorate a trunk? Sign up at the Welcome Center!)
Additional attractions include: inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses, face painting and balloon animals, a hayride around the church grounds, a pumpkin patch where every child picks a free pumpkin, carnival games with prize tickets, a live acoustic music stage, and a food court with hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, caramel apples, and hot chocolate.
This event is 100% free and open to the entire community. It's our way of saying 'we love our neighbors!' Invite your friends, classmates, coworkers, and neighbors. Volunteers are needed for setup, food service, game stations, and cleanup. Sign up to help at the Welcome Center.
