Back-to-School Supply Drive Deadline
Our annual Back-to-School Supply Drive is one of our most impactful community outreach projects. Last year, the generous donations of our church family and community partners provided fully loaded backpacks for over 350 students at three Springfield elementary schools.
This year, our goal is to serve 400 students across four schools: Lincoln Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Washington Elementary, and Springfield Academy. Each student receives a new backpack filled with grade-appropriate supplies: notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, and erasers.
Donation bins are located in the church lobby throughout July. We accept new, unwrapped supplies as well as monetary donations (we can purchase supplies in bulk at discounted prices). Backpack stuffing party will be held on August 3 — volunteers needed!
Distribution day is August 8 at each partner school. Volunteers are needed to help distribute backpacks and to pray with families. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve alongside other church members and to be a visible, tangible expression of God's love in our community.
